There are three positions in the City Clerk's office responsible for the preparation of the City's Annual Budget, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Personnel, Insurance, Financial & Budgetary Reports, City Records, City Council Proceedings and all other assignments.

FUNCTIONS:

 

The City Clerk ensures that the Mayor's directives are carried out.  The City Clerk coordinates the financial function, including financial planning, Annual Budget, Accounts Payable and Payroll.  In addition, this department provides financial and budgetary reports for all users of such information.  Oversees all personnel issues including labor relations and insurance.

 

The City Clerk oversees the City's insurance program, including health, liability and worker's compensation.

 

The City Clerk is responsible for all Council agendas and materials for Council meetings, processing citizen's inquiries and service requests, and representing the City at meetings and conferences.

 

The City Clerk's Office functions as the official records depository and archivist for the City.  This office maintains records management for legislative and administrative official records of the City.  Resolution No. 04-06 designated the City Clerk as the City's Public Records Officer.  If you have any questions in regards to public records, contact the City Clerk's Office at 170 South Oak, Colville, WA 99114 or by telephone at (509) 684-5094.
