Police
Services
Our service
consists of three divisions: operation, investigations,
and administration. We have a staff of 14 full-time
employees and 9 volunteer staff. We strive to provide
pro-active and prudent law enforcement and public safety
services to the citizens of Colville. Our organization
provides the citizens of Colville with 24 hours, 7 days a
week, 365 days a year Police services.

Goals & Objectives

Enhance and
emphasize departmental resources in providing for public
safety twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.

Create,
review, evaluate, and modify all formal plans for
consistency with the agency mission. Coordinate
services with other City departments and law enforcement
agencies. Promote and maintain good cooperative
relationships with other law enforcement agencies and
emergency service providers.

Organize
departmental resources and coordinate across departments.

Provide
pro-active leadership in managing and directing
departmental resources.

Develop and
implement regulatory programs that achieve statutory goals
in the most effective manner possible.

Quality
service at the lowest cost possible.

Understanding
public values provides the department with a philosophic
basis for the appropriate delivery of police services.

administrative services necessary to meet the statutory,
regulatory, and operational needs of the department and
expectations of the public.

Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Colville Police Department is to
coordinate and lead efforts within the community to preserve
the public peace, protect persons and property, prevent
crime, and provide assistance to people in urgent
situations. |
