2008 Fly-In
The Colville Municipal Airport is located at an elevation
of 1,878 feet above sea level on 66 acres of City-owned
property on a bench 1/2 mile east of the City on State
Route 20 and lies within the City limits. The site
was developed beginning in 1924 and has been the recipient
of several FAA-DOT grants for development and maintenance.
The Colville Airport has a 2,700 foot long, 45 foot wide
asphalt surfaced runway, which is paralleled by a 25 foot
wide taxi-way and is oriented in a northeast/southwest
direction. It presently has the capacity for
approximately 60 aircraft (the number of aircraft which
can be secured in hangars or with tie-downs in the field).
Facilities include a parking ramp large enough for 10
single engine aircraft and a City-owned 8,000 gallon fuel
facility, which is a credit card, self-serve unit.
This fuel facility provides 100-octane low lead fuel.
There are privately-owned hangars on the field, which sit
on leased City land. These hangars are used for
aircraft storage and maintenance. There is one
full-time FBO, who is available for major aircraft
maintenance.
